PATTERN NOTES
Knit in the round. Knit cable pattern on the front side only.
Cable knit CL and CR every 3rd row
Cable knit C6L or C6R every 7th row
CL - Cable to left, slip 1 st on to cable needle and leave at the front of work, K1, then K1 from cable needle
CR - Cable to the right, slip 1 st on to cable needle and leave at the back of work, K1, then K1 from cable needle
C6L - Cable 6 to left, slip 3 sts on to cable needle and leave at the front of work, K3, then K3 from the cable needle. Right Wrist warmer
C6R - Cable 6 to the left, slip 3 sts on to cable needle and leave at the front of work, K3, then K3 from the cable needle. Left Wrist Warmer

Right Wrist Warmer: Co 42 sts. Mark the beg of the round. Knit 1 st, Knit cable pattern over 20 sts, cont rib K2, P2 til the end.

Knit til the piece measures 12 cm from the beg.
NB. Thumb gusset and thumb can be knitted in stocking stich if you want a less snug fit around the thumb
Thumb gusset: knit 24 sts make a mark, make a new st, “knit 1 st”, make 1 new st, rep inc 1 st on either side of “knit 1 st” on every second row 4 times, new total 50 sts. Fit in K2, P2 on the inc sts or simply K all sts. Cont till the whole piece measures 15 cm. Set aside the 9 thumb gusset sts plus 1 st each side on a stitch holder. CO 3 new sts. New total 42 sts. Knit another 18 rows in cable pattern. BO.
Thumb: Thumb: Transfer the 11 sts from the stitch holder onto two needles, with a third needle pick up 1 sts before the cast on sts, 3 sts along the cast on sts, 1 sts. Total of 16 sts. Knit in the rounds. K2, P2 (or St.st) 8 rounds. BO
